Brightfield Oblique

Transmitted oblique brightfield enhances contrast, increases rate of recognition, adds 3-D by shadowing, resolution in one direction (east-west), and decreases it at right angles to that directions (north-south). If the object has a higher refractive index than the mounting medium it is darker on the right side.
